How does it work?
IPL PhotoFacials work by directing a beam of light to an irregularity in the skin, such as enlarged blood vessels or irregular chromophore. This removes the abnormality without scarring or damage, while stimulating collagen production to tighten the surrounding tissue, resulting in improved skin texture and reduced signs of aging. When to get treated?
The best time to get treated is in the fall or winter when you have no tan or sun exposure. After exposure and damage of summer sun this is a great treatment to repair your skin.
Is the treatment painful?
The laser skin treatment causes only minimal discomfort, requires no numbing agents and is basically painless. You will only feel mild heat during your 10-15 minute treatment.
How many treatments are required?
In most cases three treatments are required for the full-face treatment. The average treatment takes about 15-30 minutes. Results may be seen after the first few treatments.
How long does recovery take?
You’ll be able to return to normal activities immediately, though sunscreen should be applied as a post-treatment precaution.
