Is price the number one question you should ask a facility?

Are you more interested in price or results, probably both?  Just maybe you should ask what kind of laser they have and then ask about price.  Technology  of a premium laser will deliver superior results.  Utilizing a non premium laser will require more treatments, and will cost you more money in the long run.  You may be lured in by the low price but at the end you will need to pay more for more treatments and you will still have hair.  While price is important (we guarantee the lowest price in our region, laser for laser) results are what we are striving for.

Are all lasers the same?

Not even close. There are 3 different families of lasers on the market and 1 light source family.  Alexandrite, Diode, Yag & IPL's (light source – run away fast)Alexandrite and Diodes are great machines for hair removal, Yag's are specifically built for dark skin patients (not good for skin type 1-3 – lighter to olive skin tones), IPL's are just a joke, go get waxed instead.  How do we know this, we own all 4 different types and compare them side by side.  If a facility only has one machine you just may want to get a second opinion for your treatment.  Not one machine is the answer for all skin and hair types.

We have the newest and most advanced technology is also a funny statement.

There really has not been any significant improvements in laser based upon results in over a decade.

Ask the facility if they transport, rent lasers or are part of a mobile program.

Oh no the van hit a pothole now the laser in not performing correctly .  If you transport lasers they may get out of calibration, internal components may not work properly, mirrors may shift, water may leak into the system.  You may find yourself in a dangerous situation if you don't ask this question.

How many treatments do you need?

We find it ridiculous when laser facilities say you will need only 4-6 treatments.  Here is the truth.  Typically it takes 6-8 treatments with a premium laser, more with a lower grade laser.  Darker skinned patients traditionally require more treatments than lighter skin patients.  Hormonal patients typically require more treatments as well.  Everyone has 3 growth cycles of hair.  Results are driven by what percentage of hairs you have in cycle 1 (anagen/active cycle) at the time of your treatment, no two people are alike so results may vary.  Nobody can ever tell you how many treatments you will need for desired results, we can only give averages from past experience.

Can lasers treat blond, white, gray or red hairs?

NO

Can I buy a product that can change the color of the root to make the laser work for me?

NO, I mean Yes, but it is a gimmick and in our opinion.  Don't really know if it is on the market anymore.
